How to Read a Wine Label

While you're hanging out with your pour, take a look at the bottle. Many pourers will leave them on the counter so they remember where you are in a tasting. The label can tell you the name of Winery, varietal, the alcohol content, the wine region or appellation, and lots more. If it's a blend, the winemaker may include the breakdown on the back. You may also find a story, tasting notes, or serving suggestions.
