Benovia Winery

Finding Benovia Winery is a bit of a challenge. The GPS drops you off in a construction site. Don’t be discouraged! If you keep on going doing the one lane road, you find the entrance. Then it’s just a quick couple of turns until you arrive at the tasting room (lol).

Thankfully, it’s worth the extra searching. I first heard of Benovia from a Wine Spectator recipe: its Pinot Noir was the suggested pairing. I looked into into them further and found a bevy of 90+ point reviews from Wine Enthusiast.

Although the Chardonnay wasn’t quite our style, we found several Pinots to our liking. This being our first trip, we chose the Spark Notes Tasting (great name!) Our concierge was helpful and attentive, listening to our likes and dislikes and helping us find the bottles that suited us best even if they weren’t on the initial menu. Thanks, David! Our favorites were the Cohn Vineyard and the Russian River Valley Pinot Noirs.
