Frog's Leap Winery

Frog’s Leap Winery reminded me a lot of Duckhorn (which I had visited a few weeks prior). They have a beautiful building that looks like it was came right out of a Restoration Hardware catalog. We opted for a seated tasting instead of the Garden/Cellar Tasting. We’re old and oenophiles so muscling in for our next pour or staking out seats isn’t our thing any more.

We arrived early and got to wander around the garden, basically following the bees. The only thing that would have made our stroll better would be signs identifying the various varieties of flowers and plants.

Our tasting room associate was kind and knowledgeable. She poured our entire flight at the beginning (The way we like it!) and then continually checked in our us, answering our questions as they came up. I totally forgot to ask where their name came from though—I didn’t see a single frog on the property aside from the weathervane.

Although, we didn’t purchase anything, we wholly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a classic Napa tasting.
