Balletto Vineyards
Balletto Vineyards was not on my radar, but we weren’t ready for lunch, and I’ll always take the recommendation of tasting room manager. My mom got the Estate Tasting, which was $15 for four pours and I did the Reserve, which was $20 for five. And then we shared :D
I picked up a bottle of the 2017 BCD Syrah (cool climate, french oak) and a bottle of the 2019 Zinfandel (10% new American oak, 20% new French oak) I also picked up a bottle of the 2020 Gewurztraminer, which I can’t wait to pour the next time we have Indian.
Mom liked the Rosé of Pinot Noir and described the 2018 Cider Ridge Chardonnay as buttered popcorn in a glass. She also picked up a bottle of their Late Harvest Pinot Gris.
Sadly, we weren’t able to try the 2016 Sparkling Brut Rosé as it’s a wine club exclusive, but as luck would have it we found it on the menu later that evening at Waterbar!
