Kokomo Winery

If you’re like me, you’re already mentally bopping to the song by The Beach Boys.

Although my Uncle knew them for their Pinot Noir, I first heard about Kokomo from a review of their Sauvignon Blanc. We saw it a few weeks later at Willie’s Seafood in Healdsburg and, it went so spectacularly well with the “grande platter of shellfish and crustaceans,” I knew we had to get an appointment.

Kokomo Winery is located on Dry Creek Rd. north of the General Store but not quite to Yoakim Bridge. As you turn right onto the driveway, you’ll notice a sign advertising several differing tasting rooms. Believe me, we’ve been there. But don’t judge a winery by its parking lot. Land is EXPENSIVE in Dry Creek Valley! Kokomo is located just across the “street” from Papapietro and after a fantastic experience, you better believe I’m looking up the other wineries who share their space.

A tasting is $30/pp and lasts about 1.5hours. Of course, we walked away with several bottles of the Sauvignon Blanc.
